23 May Nashua PAL Receives $10,000 Matching Grant
Finlay Foundation matches grant for $10,000 to Nashua PAL
Nashua, NH, May 23, 2016 – Nashua PAL (Police Athletic League) is excited to announce it has received a matching grant of $10,000 from the Finlay Foundation. This grant will support critical youth programs at the Nashua PAL Youth Safe Haven, located at 52 Ash Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
“Finlay Foundation’s support of Nashua PAL’s efforts to help youth succeed is fantastic!”, said Shaun Nelson, Nashua PAL’s Executive Director, “This grant will go a long way in engaging new community support for helping youth members transform into positive and productive community members.”
Kim Reagan, a Finlay Foundation Board Member, said, “The Finlay Foundation is pleased to support the good work and youth outreach being performed by Nashua PAL. Nashua is a city very close to our hearts and we look forward to being part of a larger movement of revitalization and positive change. We hope our matching grant of $10,000 will encourage others to give to this very worthy cause.”
Matching funds will be collected leading up to and during the Nashua PAL Sports Dinner event, occurring on June 30, 2016 at 6pm at the Conway Arena. The annual Sports Dinner serves as a time to honor extraordinary youth within our 16 programs, and raise vital funds in order to continue our service to over 2,000 youth in Greater Nashua. Mike O’Malley, Actor/Writer/Producer, will be honored as PAL of the Year.
Nashua Police Athletic League (PAL), founded in 1989, serves over 2,000 youth in Greater Nashua. Nashua PAL’s mission is to create a positive attitude between the children of Nashua and the members of the Police Department through PAL sponsored sports, enrichment, recreation, and education activities. Nashua PAL’s 16 programs focus on: Activity; Leadership; Education. Every Kid Deserves a PAL!
