The Finlay Foundation announces support for The New Hampshire Global War on Terror Memorial
January 6, 2016 – Nashua, NH – The Finlay Foundation, a New Hampshire 501(c)3 nonprofit organization announced today that they have awarded $32,000 to Veterans Memorial Monuments Fund, Inc. in response to a grant request from the organization. The funds will be used to construct and dedicate a monument to those members of New Hampshire’s armed services who have sacrificed their lives in the global War on Terror. The monument will be located along the Memorial Walkway at The New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
New Hampshire Medal of Honor Recipient Ryan Pitts, the Honorary Chairman of the Board of Veterans Memorial Monuments Fund, Inc. said, “Our fallen service members’ legacies endure, so long as they are never forgotten. Memorializing the ultimate sacrifice they made in our defense honors those legacies forever”.
Daniel Monfried, Board representative of The Finlay Foundation, said, “The Finlay Foundation is pleased to be able to provide funding toward this important memorial to New Hampshire’s service men and women. We thank all of the current and former members of our Armed Services and their families for their service and their sacrifices. This award is a way of expressing our appreciation.”
